2009 – a two-faced vintage |

This vintage made a unique joke with us. In the first part of harvest from the wonderful grapes we could produce rich, substancial dry wines. Muscat Blanc (Sárga muskotály) brings intense aromas in nose, single vineyard wines from „Barakonyi” are very dense. Kövérszőlő’s floral-fruity aromas are reminding for the outstanding 2006. After this nice period we waited the shriveling and „aszú” formation, but due to continous rainy period it did not come. Early frost in November finished the harvest, thus from this vintage there are no late harvest and Aszú wines at our estate. It is stange, that besides Kövérszőlő there are no sweet wines in the cellar!
